Setting Up The Jira Integration 🎫 ​

Connect Triggr to your Jira instance to automate ticket creation, updates, and workflow management.

Getting Your Jira Personal Access Token ​

Step 1: Sign in to your account ​

Login to your Jira account from Jira's homepage.

Step 2: Select your profile icon and then click on "Manage account" ​

You should see an icon with your initials in the top right. You can click on it and then click "Manage account" to reach your account page.

Step 3: Click on 'Security' in the top navigation bar ​

You should be taken to a page like this after clicking 'Manage account'. Click on 'Security' in the navigation bar.

Step 4: On the security page, click on 'Create and manage API tokens' ​

Navigate to the API tokens section in the Security settings.

Step 5: Click on 'Create API Token' ​

Initiate the creation of a new API token for Triggr.

Step 6: Provide a name and expiry date ​

We recommend calling the token 'Triggr' and setting the expiry date for 1 year from today.

Step 7: Copy your API token ​

This will only be shown once. Please click the copy button and paste this somewhere secure. You'll need this later.

Configuring the Integration in Triggr ​

Step 1: Navigate to Integrations ​

  1. Login to your Triggr account
  2. Go to the Integrations section in the sidebar
  3. Find and select the Jira integration

Step 2: Enter Your Jira Details ​

  1. Jira URL: Enter your Jira instance URL (e.g., https://yourcompany.atlassian.net)
  2. Email: Enter the email address associated with your Jira account
  3. API Token: Paste the API token you created in the previous steps

Step 3: Save Configuration ​

  1. Click "Save Configuration" to store your Jira integration settings
  2. Your Jira integration is now ready to use
